Much loved husband of the late Ronnie and loving dad to Anthony and father in law to Helen and loving grandad to Josh.

Pattern Maker, Tailor. Owner of Mayflower Fashions and Former Lecturer and Wardrobe Designer at the Theatre Royal Plymouth.

A life well lived

Stan was my Tailoring lecturer at Plymouth College of Art, 1979-83, and he was brilliant, I learned so much from him. I especially loved watching him sitting cross-legged on a table top, hand-stitching fast and accurately, the tiny needle completely hidden by his huge hands! He was the loveliest of men and he and Ronnie were such a great team.
I can’t get to the funeral but will light a candle and sit with my thoughts of him at 11am.

Such a lovely man. Always a smile, always a joke, always so kind. He was a clever tailor and pattern maker .... very skilled. He could surf and dance the night away and still have a smile. Don't make them like that any more.
