SCATTERGOODJohn (Scatts) Passed away peacefully on 3rd July 2017 aged 86. Retired leading ambulance man with over 30 years of service. Beloved husband of Carol for over 58 years, devoted Dad of Dave, Pete, Mark, Mary and Helen. Much loved Father-in-law and Grandad. Funeral service will be held on Friday 28th July at All Saints Church, Narborough at 12.00 noon followed by a committal service at Countesthorpe Crematorium. Please dress as you wish, no flowers by request, donations is desired may be made payable to DLRAA (Air Ambulance) sent c/o Richard Ward Independent Funeral Services Ltd., 2B Cross Street, Enderby, Leics. This was my Dad's response when i announced I was going to see Mary my new mate,; swiftly followed by "he drove over his glasses in the ambulance".
Thinking of you all but knowing he'll be sat up there having a good laugh over a beer with Dad. He was a lovely gent, dry sense of humour but don't dare wake him up if he'd been on nights xxxxx
