BrianSCHOFIELDBrian Schofield, of Haslingden Road, Rawtenstall passed away at home on January 15, aged 83 years. Brian was a teacher and a keeper of museum from 1968-1978 at Whitaker Park, Rawtenstall and self employed as a light haulage contractor for 10 years. He enjoyed geology, ecology, walking, caving, Scotland and his dog Raggy. He was a member of the Rossendale CHA Rambling Club and the Pennine Paths Association. Husband to the late Ida, Brian leaves behind his daughters Anne and Eilean (Eils), grandson Richard, granddaughter Eilidh, great-grandchildren Jacob and Oliver, sister Edna, son-in-laws Robert and Derek, nephew Stephen, nieces Christine, Denise and Karen. Brian’s funeral will take place on Thursday, February 2 at Burnley Crematorium at 11.30am followed by a wake at The Rose ‘n’ Bowl, Stacksteads. Family flowers only, donations to Rossendale Hospice at Home.
