JordanSERENAMy thanks to all involved in the passing of Serena Jordan of Thornaby, wife of Malcolm. Funeral Director Garry Savage of Colin McGinley Funeral Service who turned Serena into a Princess in my eyes. The service was led by the Rev Paul Salter in St Hilda's Chapel who knew enough to write a book about her. He hit all of her pleasures in the Dales In Yorkshire to the Lake District, both well walked. Entering was "Volare" Serena's favourite by Dean Martin and the first Hymn was Jerusalem followed by Abide With Me. Then Ed Sheeran's Supermarket Flowers saw us all retire. We raised ?150 in total for the Guide Dogs of the Blind. One of our favourite Charities. Hospitality was provided by Old Thornaby Social Club. Catering was by the Staff. Just Perfect. Many thanks to all concerned. It turned what could have been a bad day into a pleasure to be alive day! Best Regards Malcolm and Family.
