JohnSHEARNSMR John James Shearns, of Fairfield Avenue, Edgeside, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 6, aged 65. John was born in Bacup, moving to Waterfoot 40 years ago. He was employed at Smith & Nephews, Cloughfold, Snow King, Haslingden, Sutcliffes Furniture, Todmorden, and lastly at Solomon Commercials, Haslingden. John enjoyed playing golf and poker and also watching horse racing. He leaves his wife of 38 years Lesley, daughter Nicola and her husband Daniel, son Alex and his partner Lizzie, son Joseph and his partner Fern, together with grandchildren Jacob, Noelle, Harry and Theo, nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends. A service followed by cremation will be held at 12.15pm on Wednesday, July 20, at Burnley Crematorium, conducted by Gemma Rooke. Funeral Director: Anthony Johnson Funeral Services Ltd, Bacup.
