John WilliamSHERRYFollowing a long illness John aged 75 years of Newcastle died peacefully at home in the care of his immediate family. John was born in Stoke on Trent and worked with his colleagues at MIND and the Dudson Centre in Hanley. He lectured at Keele University and was held in high regard. He was incredibly intelligent and had a wonderful sense of humour. John touched the lives of many people and had the capacity to see the potential inherent in others. A Celebration of John's life will take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Thursday 7th July at 11:00am. Please dress in cheerful colours. No flowers by request please, donations in memory of John to Shelter. Hi Les, it has been a long time since I played snooker with John, and Brenda and I used to visit you in Newcastle. Brenda sadly died six years ago; we separated many years ago. So sorry to hear about John. My memories of him and his beliefs remain with me, and will until my time. Paul Fowler.

I raise a glass of Marstons pedigree to my big brother who was both a huge influence and inspiration in my life, I was so lucky to have him as a brother. He opened my eyes, expanded my horizons and introduced me to other worlds, from Taoism to playing snooker on a Friday night, he inspired and challenged me to see life from a different perspective. I love and miss you Broth.
