JohnSHIELDWe are sad to announce that after a long and happy life, John passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday 4th May aged 91.
Everyone who knew John would agree that he was a true gentleman with an immense strength of character which shone through during his difficult battle with Mesothelioma (lung cancer).
John was a devoted husband to the late Peggy and a loving father of Kay and Graeme and father in law to Cindy. He adored all his family including his grandchildren Kathryn and Kayleigh and great grandchildren Zak, Lenny and Leona.
Would family and friends please meet at West Road crematorium on Thursday 21st May at 10:15. John's family would like everyone to help them celebrate his life at Ponteland Social Club after the service.
Family flowers only please. Any Donations in his memory will be given to Readley, a support charity which helped John immensely after his diagnosis of Mesothelioma.
