David Maurice AndrewSHIPPERPeacefully, Dave passed away on Thursday 1st January 2026 aged 98 years. Beloved husband of the late Anne-Adele, Dad to Gillian and Melanie, father-in-law to Steve and Stephen, grandad to Daniel, Ruby, Eleanor, Eve and Nina. Great-grandad to Olivia, Finlay and Freya.

Resting at Coles Funeral Directors until the service to be held at Thornhill Crematorium (Briwnant Chapel) on Tuesday 20th January at 2:00pm and after at the Ffynnon Wen.

I remember Dave at Maindy Stadium ( Cardiff AAC). Stood with his whistle and watch coaching middle distance runners in all weathers. Encouraging all that they could be champions. He would then manage the women’s team on the weekends to a lot of success. He was one in a million. A man who touched some many lives in a positive way. May be rest in peace
