Denis JamesSHORTTIt is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Denis James Shortt, aged 77 years, of Priestlands Drive Dumfries.
Denis passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday 21st February at the Alexandra Unit, Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
Denis was the true soulmate of his loving wife Catherine. He was a much-loved father of Philip and Claire, and father-in-law of Julie and Paul. He was a very proud Grandpa of Jamie, Kyla, Murrin, and the late Amy and Ben.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
The service to celebrate the life of Denis will take place at William Jardine Chapel of Rest, 23 Terregles Street Dumfries, on Friday 13th March at 11am, followed by cremation at Roucan Loch Crematorium. All friends are respectfully invited to attend.
No flowers please. Donations, if desired, can be given for the Alexandra Unit and Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, in memory of Denis.
Denis will remain in our hearts forever.
