The obituary notice of Dr Stephen T C SIKLOS

I was very sad and shocked to learn of Stephen's death. He and I shared an office in DAMTP, Cambridge during 1989/92 and became good friends. He did a lot to help me settle in (including teaching me how to use the BBC basic computer and write mathematical formule in TeX!) -- and was generally the best possible company and the kindest and most caring office mate anyone could ever hope for. I have fond memories of a lovely tea that he and Catherine invited me and my then wife and young son to when they visited, back around 1990. But the most memorable feature of that afternoon was that the children went off to play at one point and by the time we noticed were all drenched through after some serious water-fun!
