Very sad to hear the news about Les . . . but happy memories of his visits to Littleborough to see his, 'Auntie Maggie' (Margaret Rimmer) and the Cannon family.
He brought fun and laughter on those Sunday visits and he loved his walks in the afternoon - not to mention Sunday dinner and the boxes of 'goodies' he always took home with him. 'Sustenance,' as he liked to call it.
His helpfulness, enthusiasm and sense of fun, in spite of his worsening sight problems, shone through his long life.
RIP, Cousin Les - you will never be forgotten.

There will be a big hole in our lives without you Uncle Les but you have given us so much. You have always been there, celebrating our successes, sharing stories about nana and grandad and never being too busy to hear about my many home renovations! You will always be in our hearts.

Our thoughts and sympathies go out to Leslie's Family and friends. Leslie was a popular member of our British Korean Veteran's Liverpool and District Branch for many years. Leslie served in the Royal Signals Regiment in Korea between 1952-1954. I had the privilege of being a friend and escorted Leslie to Korea in 2008 on a special Revisit Trip. I also travelled with Leslie to the National Arboratum in Staffordshire on several occasions to Commemorate the Anniversaries of the start of the Korean War on 25 June 1950. Leslie always enjoyed the occasions. I will greatly miss Les's company and his enthusiastic
approach to life.
Baden J. Burnip, Chairman
British Korean Veteran's Association, Liverpool and District Branch.
