ArthurSIMPSONPassed away in Royal Oldham Hospital on the 28th July 2026, aged 86 years.

Much loved Husband of the late Joan, loving Dad of Paul, Louise and the late Jane, devoted Grandad to Jack, Emily, Adam and Luke and great grandad of Lillie and Elsie.

Arthur will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Funeral service to take place at Rochdale Crematorium on Wednesday 12th August at 11.30am.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Arthur was one of those truly special people who made everyone feel welcome and valued. He was always kind to me, genuine and warm-hearted.

I’ll always remember his amazing dry wit and those little comments that could catch you off guard and make you laugh. I remember the Sunday driving mystery tours with no destination in mind listening to stories from both Arthur & Joan.

Thinking of you and your family with so much love. Your dad leaves behind not only beautiful memories, but the lasting impression of a genuinely good man who touched the lives of everyone lucky enough to know him.

Arthur was a true gentleman, and my dads best friend. They grew up together as best friends from being at school. I remember visiting him as a little girl and seeing his mynah bird that used to screech his name. His unexpected passing has totally devastated us. He will be very sadly missed. RIP Arthur. X
