I recently was going through an letter that your mother and father sent to me, and was wondering how there are doing? I am so sorry to hear of your passing of a very dear lady whom I knew back in 1976 when I would drop of my Vernon coupons at Dallow Street. Wonderful person Jean and late Maurie. My condolences go out to the family and friends 🙏🙏

Not everyone is lucky enough to call their nana one of their best friends, but I was and the bond that nana and I forged will be cherished and looked back upon fondly. To my cheeky nana, I’ll miss you. A little bit of you lives on in me, with our love for the colour lilac, our love for noggins of cheese and our love of a laugh and giggle. From your loving granddaughter, Katie Lou x
