MatthewSLATERPassed away peacefully on 19th May 2025. Beloved Husband to the late Maria, A much loved Dad, Father-in-law, Grandad, Great Grandad and Brother. Matthew will be loved and missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral service to be held on Thursday 12th June, 12.00 at the West Road Crematorium. All welcome after the service to join the family at The Poachers Cottage NE5 1NQ. Flowers to Co-op Funeralcare Benwell, NE15 6RU.
Donations can be made to Macmillan Cancer Support. The family would like to give a special mention to Doctor Greystones Matthews oncologist and all the nursing staff at the Freeman and RVI Hospitals. To the Macmillan nurses and to the fantastic Nurses, carers and all the staff at Brooke House, Denton Burn who made sure Matthews final months and days were so comfortable and happy for him.
It broke our hearts to lose you, But you didn't go alone For part of us went with you The day God called you home.
