HerbertSLOANDr Herbie Sloan has passed away peacefully at the remarkable age of 102 years on 15th August 2026.
Dr Sloan leaves sons Richard and Robin, grandson Matthew and great
granddaughters Eleanor & Amelia.
He was father-in-law to Susan & Catherine.
Originally from Carrickfergus in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, moved
to England in 1949.
A retired popular Accrington GP, Dr Sloan was a member of Whalley Golf
Club for many years and member of the Rotary Club of Great Harwood and
Rishton for over 40 years.
Herbie will be missed by all that knew him.
The funeral will take place on:
Thursday 3rd September at Accrington Crematorium, service starting at 12:20PM.
