RogerSMALDONRoger Smaldon, prominent bird-watcher and author of 'The Birds of Dartmoor', died on February 6th, 2026 at Mount Gould Hospital, Plymouth.

Much-loved husband of Aileen, father to Matthew and Adam, grandfather to Tom, Zoe, Summer and Harrison, he will be much missed by all who knew him.

Funeral 2pm on Thursday, February 26th at the Park Crematorium, Plymouth.

No flowers please, but donations welcome to Dartmoor Birds.
