Mary MargaretSMITHMargaret leaves her family: beloved sons David and Geoff, grandchildren Sarah, Stella, George and Stanley, daughters-in-law Ruth and Laura and Bruce the Pug. She worked at St Anne’s School as a dinner lady, starting as cover for two weeks and ending up staying for over 20 years. Margaret was a member of the Cambridge Street Methodist Church for 50 years, as well as the Ladies Regional. She also enjoyed mother and other ladies group at Cambridge Street. She never missed Emmerdale and Coronation Street. Margaret liked to walk Bruce and chat to everyone on her trip around Ascot way. She had three strokes in January and worked hard to the point that she could again walk the dog, do weekly trips to Tesco with David and also go shopping to Bury Market with Geoff. A service will be held on Tuesday, July 11 at Cambridge Street Methodist Church at 10.15am, followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium at 11.40am. Family flowers only please, but donations in memory of Margaret may be made to The Donkey Sanctuary c/o Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington. All further enquiries tel 01254 233133.
