MargaretSMITH(of Southgate) (Former Councillor, School Governor and former Lord Mayor of Swansea) Peacefully on Friday 27th October at her home and with her family by her side, Margaret passed away aged 92 years.

Daughter of the late Molly and Glyn Brown. Beloved wife of the late Bill. Treasured friend of the late Henry Fry. Dear mum to Jane and Will. Respected mother in law to Bryan and Sarah. A loving Gran to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Margaret will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Funeral service to take place 12pm on Tuesday 14th November at Llanelli Crematorium.

The funeral cortege will leave Margaret's home at 11am and will make its way to up to the village terminus and back, for those who wish to pay their respects.

Family flowers only but donations in memory, if so desired, may be made to Swansea Cats or a charity of choice (cheques only please) c/o

Margaret were a very strong and courageous woman. Achieved many things in your life,a career that was difficult for women to achieve,but syou did it with gusto.I feel privileged to have known you. Will miss you Margaret.x
