Anthony GeorgeSMITHPeacefully on 14th March 2026 at The Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby. Tony aged 81 years sadly passed away. Beloved husband of the late Ann, loving dad to Amanda, dear father in law to Tim, precious grandad of Jon and Dan, brother to Christine, John and Debbie, brother-in-law of Roy and Karen, loved uncle of Marc, Natalie and Eloise and good friend to many who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Service at Grimsby Crematorium on Wednesday 8th April 2026 at 1.30pm.

Tony is resting at Mashfords Funeral Home Norfolk Lane Cleethorpes DN35 8BB where family flowers only please will be received. Donations in lieu, if so desired may be sent to St. Andrew's Hospice, Peaks Lane Grimsby DN32 9RP. All enquiries. Tel. 01472 200004.

Very sad news about Tony’s passing. We were good friends & work colleagues at ICI Ammonia Works Immingham in the late 60’s early 70’s.
He & I were keen recruits on a newly constructed project & we bonded well during training & future operational activities.
Tony was a workaholic & set very high standards in everything he did.
His departure from ICI, to further his career abroad, was our loss but for Tony a great move which brought him much success in worldwide industrial projects.
