DorisSMITHSeptember 17, 2008. Peacefully in Hospital, aged 91 years, of Burscough. Passed away with her daughters Carole and Jackie by her side. Beloved wife of the late Jim. A much loved Mum, Mother in law, Nanny and Great Nan to her 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandsons. Funeral Service at St John's C.E Church, Burscough, today, September 25 at 1pm. Followed by Interment in the Churchyard. Family flowers only by request, donations if so desired are being gratefully received by the Family for Macmillan Cancer Care Support. We would like to thank the Staff on Ward 7A Southport District General Hospital, especially the Palliative Care Team for their support during a difficult time. Thanks also to the Staff at Park Grove Care Home, Burscough, for the care given to Doris in the 3 weeks she spent with them.
