A great friend of my Dad Laurence. I used to give Harry a lift if I saw him walking anywhere. I loved to catch up with him and chat about Jazz. A lovely man who will be missed. Condolences to Tony.

Harry, a bachelor and always a dapper dresser, was a sociable, unassuming chap, who in his youth, together with his cousin Bryan, was a member of the Air Training Corps, and thereafter maintained a lifelong interest in aviation. A companiable man, he led an active life, and enjoyed a regular round of golf at Middlesbrough's municipal course even in the days preceding his sudden passing, which closely followed that of cousin Bryan. Will be missed. (Dave Middleton).
