Peacefully in hospital on 12th October 2025 aged 92 years.

Dearly loved husband of the late Sybil, much loved father of John and the late Anne and a dear granda and great-granda.

Funeral service at St. Giles Church, Chollerton on Wednesday 29th October at 11.00am to be followed by interment at St. Aidan's Church, Thockrington.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to The Great North Air Ambulance.

John was the last of his generation pre-deceased by my father and all his other cousins. Also the last Spearman farmer. Always happy to see you. On one trip back to Northumberland he offered to drive us around for a day. Turns out he knew everyone everywhere we stopped. Each stop was 45 - 60 minutes. It took all day to get from Heddon to Greenhead! It was a wonderful day with such a caring man. We’ll miss him. Peter and Leslie
