ElaineSPROSTONIt is with great sadness that the family announce the peaceful passing of Mrs Elaine Sproston on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Broomhill Care Home after a long illness. Loving wife of Rev Bernard Sproston, daughter of the late Bill & Lily Roberts, sister of the late Doreen, mother to Lynda and Andrew, grandmother and great-grandmother. Elaine's life was taken up mainly being a housewife and she loved caring for her family. Funeral to take place on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 10:30am, Chesterfield Crematorium, with a Celebration of Life Service at 2pm, at St Peter & St Paul, Old Brampton. No flowers, but donations to Alzheimer's Society and St Peter & St Paul, Old Brampton, Chesterfield. All enquiries to B Hattersley & Sons Ltd, 211 Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield S40 2BA (01246 232820)

through all of life's ups and downs, nana Elaine was always there with the right words and gestures. I miss our chats and your wise words. I hope God has restored your vision so that you can see the beauty and love which surrounded you in life and in death.
