Such a lovely uncle who I will always remember having a dry, witty sense of humour and a down to earth outlook on life. My 1st memories of Uncle David was seeing him around at Nans house when I was about 6 years old, and being confused at meeting a man who was an older version of my Dad with the same smile and mannerisms.

Uncle David - would always tell me off for calling him ‘Uncle David’…”Hey Richard, I’m not old just Dave is fine!”
Always had a smile and shared a little joke every time we met. Will be sadly missed but not forgotten. Deepest sympathies to Aunty Pearl and family.

It was always such a pleasure to be with Uncle David. He'd make you laugh with a cheeky joke and then warm your heart with kind words. Much love to everyone missing that lovely man.

Still There
——————
A whisper in the wind, A shadow on the wall,
The feeling that somebody's there,
But no answer to your call.
A kind of warmth when days are cold,
A hand held out to guide,
A glow that lights the darkest night,
A presence by your side.
If these things happen, curb your fears,
Just smile a knowing smile,
It's me you see, watching over you
Across the coming years.
