STANLEY LLEWELLYN BATCUPBATCUPStanley LlewellynPeacefully on 28th September at home, Stan, of Oaktree Avenue, Sketty Park (retired Swansea Police, Chief Inspector), dearly loved husband of Mary, devoted father of Alison and the late Christine, father-in-law of Roger, adored grandfather of Victoria, James, Richard, Matthew, Rachel and great granddad of Shannon.Funeral Service Friday 3rd October, 12.45 p.m.,at St Jude's Church, Mount Pleasant, thence to Swansea Crematorium 2.00 p.m.Family flowers only please, but if desired donations may be sent to The Grove Patient Fund, c/o St James Funeral Home, 31 St James Gardens, Uplands, Swansea, SA1 6DT.
After the funeral, friends are invited to Treetops Country Club, Clase, for refreshments

You kept a garden, a garden of the heart you planted all the good things that gave their lives a start. You turned them to the sunshine, and encouraged them to dream, fostering and nurturing the seeds of self-esteem, and when the winds and rain came, you protected them enough, but not too much because you knew they would stand up strong and tough. Your constant good example, always taught them right from wrong; Markers for their pathway that will last a lifetime long. They are their granddad’s garden, although you are no longer with them, they carry on your values in every way, and I know you watch them proudly with love each and every day.
