ArthurSTAPLETON(Gateshead) Aged 90 years passed away peacefully after a short illness on 30th January 2026 at Hollie Hill Care Home.
Arthur was the devoted husband of Rose, a loving father to Amanda, and a cherished father-in-law to Neil. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to Christopher, Jonathan, Samantha, and Lyra, each of whom brought him immense joy throughout his long life.
Arthur dedicated 40 years of service to the Gateshead Parks Department, spending much of his working life at Saltwell Park. He took great pride in helping to care for a place that meant so much to the community. He was also a much-loved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle, whose kindness, steady presence, and gentle humour will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A cremation service will take place on Tuesday 17th February at 11.15am at Saltwell Crematorium. Family flowers only, please. All are warmly welcome to join the family afterwards at The Fellsider.
Arthur leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and quiet strength. His memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
