Joan was a lovely person who welcomed me into her family with warmth and kindness, and I will always treasure the many precious memories I have of the time we spent together.
In the years after my own mother passed, Joan became a source of comfort and support, and her love was a constant for me and my sons. Though life and time carried us in different directions, the love and respect I have for her never faded. Her strength, gentle spirit and humour left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time. She will always hold a special place in my heart, and her memory will live on in the love she shared.
Elaine.

My mother Hilda was a neighbour and good friends with Joan, over many years. I remember her as a kind, thoughtful and lovely lady. My thoughts are with her family at this sad time. Graham.

My thoughts are with you all. I only had the pleasure of meeting Joan a couple of times but during those visits she was always lovely, welcoming and always with a good sense of humour. I’ve always been kept informed about her through Ian and I will miss his weekly updates after his visits. Sending lots of love always Jane x
