Joseph Ricardo SampsonSTEPHENSRick, of Tregurra, Truro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, 18th December, 2022. Aged 82 years. Beloved husband of 60 years to Margaret (née Jacka), truly the love of his life. Cherished father to Peter (Dee), Andrew (Kathy), Mark (Nadine), and Jonathan (Kirsten). Devoted Papa to Kerrie (Dean), Michael (Rachel), Antony (Alexa), Katie (Jorden), Bradley, Danielle, Kylie, Thomas, Claudia, Gabriel, Ella and Connor. Loving Great-Grandfather and Uncle to many. Dear brother to Edwyna (Roger) and Charles (deceased) (Christine). Born and raised in Truro, to the late Ronald and Anne (née Williams) Stephens. Rick apprenticed as a Singer sewing machine technician and held many jobs throughout his working life, always choosing to be outdoors when possible. Rick was eternally curious which reflected in his many passions which included painting, building model-ships, wood working, CB/ham radios, wood carving and much more. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, 10th January, at 11am, in the Trelawny Chapel, Penmount Crematorium. The Stephens' family send heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and care staff of the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust, for the loving care that Rick received over the last few months.
