DorothySTEVENSONDorothy passed away peacefully at Springhill Care Home, Accrington on January 21, aged 92 years.
As a youngster, she attended Accrington Girls High School and after leaving took up clerical work at various companies. Her main employment was as a personnel officer working for Prestige, Accrington where she remained for 11 years. Her last job and from where she retired as a civil servant was with M.A.F.F.
She also worked there for 11 years.
She was a talented dressmaker and made all her own clothes from the age of 13.
She loved travelling all over the UK by car, taking in many interesting destinations.
She also travelled widely across Europe, her favourite county being Italy.
She also enjoyed socialising and having meals out.
She was wife of the late Jim and had been happily married to him for 61 years.
She was a dear aunt, great aunt and good friend to many.
A service will be held on Wednesday, February 11 at Accrington Crematorium at 3pm,
conducted by Rev. Steven Crook.
Family flowers only, donations to the British Heart Foundation.
