Remembering Dawn from the late sixties and early seventies when we were both competing in the local music festivals. Sending condolences to her family. May Dawn rest in peace and rise in glory.

🥀
We remember today a truly gentle and generous soul whose presence shaped the heart of our community.

As a gifted music teacher, Dawn shared far more than notes and melodies — she offered encouragement, confidence, and the quiet belief that everyone had a song worth singing.

In the church, she was a steady, guiding presence, always the first to lend a hand and the last to seek any recognition.

Her devotion to Great Coates in Bloom reflected the way she lived: nurturing, patient, and always seeking to bring beauty into the world. Under her care, flowers thrived — and so did friendships.

A true font of village history, shaped by her childhood as the village bobby’s daughter, Dawn carried the memories of Great Coates with warmth and clarity.

At the centre of her life stood her beloved husband, Mike. Their profound love, care, and unwavering commitment to one another were an inspiration to all who knew them — a quiet partnership built on loyalty, laughter, and deep companionship.

As a neighbour and friend, Dawn was the kindest presence you could wish for, and her loss leaves a space that cannot be filled. She will be greatly, deeply, and sadly missed by all whose lives she touched.
