StephenSTIRLINGIt is with great sadness that the family of the Late Stephen Stirling have asked us to announce his passing.
Sunrise: 21st August 1948 Sunset: 19th January 2026 Aged 77
Stephen was a lorry driver by trade, a role that took him across the country and around the world. Charismatic, charming and a natural salesman, he had a way with people that stayed with them long after they'd met him.
In his younger years, Stephen met Christine, and together they raised their beloved children, Sarah and Nick. He was also a proud grandfather to two cherished grandchildren, who brought him great joy. A gifted and capable handyman, there was very little he couldn't turn his hand to, always happiest when fixing, building or improving things around the home.
Although Stephen and Christine later separated, they remained good friends. Later in life, Stephen met and married Irene, his much-loved wife who sadly passed away. Together they shared many happy years, enjoying holidays and treasured trips to Lanzarote.
Stephen had a deep love of music from the 1960s and 1970s, and in later life discovered a wonderful talent for painting, creating beautiful landscape artworks that reflected his appreciation for the world he had seen.
A man of many stories, talents and warmth, Stephen will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Stephen is currently resting at Butterflies Rising Funeral Care, 37-39 Mill Lane L12 7HY.
Stephen's final farewell journey will take place Thursday 5th February 2026 for 10:40am at Anfield Crematorium, 234 Priory Road L4 2SL.
