Pauline, my dear friend & colleague for over 70 treasured years.
We have supported each other through the highs & lows of life, in our married lives, raising our children & eventually their lives.
Along with our husbands Ivan & Bob we spent many happy times organising many social events @ Pastures Hospital, Dances, Carnivals Queen nights followed by the Carnival the next day often with very little sleep after working night duty to fit in with the our husbands shift work, Cabarets & the popular bingo nights the families enjoyed
I recall many boozy nights @ New year & Staff ball sliding home in snow, evening dresses tucked in our wellies. However we partied never missed a shift or late for work . Neither did our hubbies.
Fond memories of preparing mountains of sandwiches & cakes for Childrens Parties in Hospital ballroom & Social Club.
Dressing up for the annual carnival all kept secret until the day of parade.
On a personal note , we understood each other, we cared for each other, the support we gave each other was an instinctive reaction of our bond, respect, trust & love. I will carry you in my heart until I come to meet you again dear pal, 🙏🙏👏👏💐💐Valerie xx
