Roderic ( Rod)STOKESPassed away peacefully at home on 17th January 2023, aged 75 years.

Beloved husband to Norma, father to Philip and Chris, grandfather to Oscar, Blake, Ellie, Courtney, Marshall and Jake.

Sadly, missed by all.

The funeral service will be held on Friday 17th February at Smithy Bridge Methodist Church at 11:45am followed by committal at Middleton Crematorium at 1:00pm.

Family flowers only please.
Donations if desired in memory of Rod to the Brain Tumour Charity or Springhill Hospice.

Dad,
Love you and miss you always, you where such a big part in anyone's life you touched.
Always the best Dad you could be for Christopher and me growing up, always there to support our Mum Norma who you called Pet,a name which stuck for her when you became a wonderful Gramps to Oscar, Blake, Ellie, Courtney, Marshall and Jake, and you and mum always treated Yevonne as though she was your own daughter.

He was known to most as Rod but to his nearest and dearest he was known as Gramps. He was a man who would do anything for anyone and always try his best to make you smile and that smile gave light in the darkest time and till the end.
I would like to give a special appreciation to my mum, Yevonne - for all you did for him in his last days and making sure the support needed was provided and that he was looked after by a familiar face so he could be at one with peace.
Rest in peace, Gramps. I love you.
