Thanks Alan for your enthusiasm and kindness in getting me started on my cricket coaching journey. You've left a magnificent legacy with the Devon Cricket South Africa tour. Your life was one of helping others and in making a positive impact on so many. A life well lived. Bravo!

I only knew Alan in his last few years, there was always a twinkle in his eye. We managed chats about military and cricket. Parkinson’s is a cruel disease. My thoughts are with Hilary friends and family at this sad time.

I can't do better than Hillary's quote from Thucydides "You leave behind not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others" Alan touched the lives of so many.
