Edward CarlSYKESVery peacefully, Edward Sykes of Netherton, passed away on Wednesday 9th July aged 86.
A devoted husband of the late Daphne for over 60 years and a wonderful Dad to Jonathan and his partner Sharon. Edward was an immensely proud Grandad to Tom, Will, and Alice and an incredibly special Great Grandad (GG) to Frankie, Bobby, and Storie. He was also a big brother to Elizabeth and Heather and a good friend to Laura, Jay and Jade. His funeral service will be held at Huddersfield Crematorium, Fixby on Friday 1st August (Yorkshire Day) at 10.30 am. Flat caps (Yorkshire style) and Huddersfield Town scarves are both welcome and encouraged!
Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to The Kirkwood in recognition of their wonderful at home care and support in Edward's last few months. A collection box will be available at the service.
