Dad, it’s now six long years since you gained your wings
and my heart was broken in two.
I wish you could have stayed with me,
but heaven needed you.
You were a very special Dad,
with kindness in your heart
and the love we had together,
grows stronger even though we’re apart.
I know I cannot bring you back,
although I wish it every day.
But a piece of me went with you,
the day you passed away.
Dad, you were a man of unparalleled integrity
and you believed in doing the right thing.
Your honesty and strong moral compass,
was clear in everything that you did.
The passing of you Dad, has left a void in my life,
that’s impossible to fill, but your memory is a constant source
of light and guidance, even during this time,
that I am being tested.
However, the most that I can do, is pray
that my message reaches you in heaven.
I will always love you Dad.
