AnnTHOMPSONPassed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, August 1, aged 78. Ann leaves children Kath, David and Fiona, daughter-in-law Bernie and sons-in-law George and Alex. Grandchildren Anthony, Chris, Joe, Lauren, George, Junior and James, and close friend Edmund. Born in Whitley Bay the eldest child of Jim and Nancy, Ann also leaves sisters Jill, Lesley and Judith, brothers Duncan and Geoffrey and many nieces and nephews and their children. Ann moved to Rossendale as a child and has remained in the valley ever since. Until recent years she was a keen gardener, enjoyed travelling and loved the great outdoors. Her funeral will be held at Burnley Crematorium on Tuesday, August 9 at 1.45pm. Family flowers only please; donations in Ann’s memory to the British Lung Foundation would be gratefully received.
