It's difficult to know what to say at a time like this. I feel lost, and my life seems to lack the colour it once did as I continue to dream of you. Between what is said and not meant, and what is meant and not said, most love is lost, and there are so many conversations that feel unfinished. To celebrate graduating my undergraduate degree you engraved a compass for me, so that I might never get lost while travelling. Now about to graduate my Masters, without you to see it, I'm reminded of how much you helped form my love of learning and reading, telling me stories about Egypt, and all manner of fairies and ghosts. The legacy we leave behind isn't carved into stones or monuments, but woven into the lives of others, and you can rest gently in knowing I'll make you proud someday.
Chris
