Nick was a breath of fresh air. He was funny, kind and loyal, not least to the Swans, and he wore his heart on his sleeve.

In recent years it's been wonderful to see him with Rhian, Efa and Caio who he so clearly adored.

I have wonderful memories of spending time with Nick and my cousins on holidays in Pembroke, Porthcawl and Minehead. Even now I can recall how over the moon we were when Bill, Marilyn and the boys turned up when we weren't expecting them in Pembroke. I remember in our teenage years going on nights out in Llanelli and Nick seemed to know everyone! He was clearly well liked. I even have fond memories of going to see the Swans, which must be because of spending time with Nick and my cousins because I wouldn't have chosen to be there otherwise.

Thanks for being you, Nick, and for all the wonderful memories.

So sorry you didn't get to be with your beautiful family and in all our lives for longer - I will miss you x

So many wonderful memories with our dear cousin, Nick - from holidays in Pembroke, Porthcawl, London to seeing the Swans and nights out in Llanelli. The anticipation and excitement of seeing our cousins was always palpable.

Growing up, I was never sure I would see the day that Nick would be happier than when he saw the Swans win, until we saw him with his beloved family in recent years.

Nick was a truly special person. He was always just as he was. Funny, kind, loyal, honourable.

So proud to call him my cousin.

There was and only ever will be one Nick Thorne.
