MichaelTIPPERof Oaklands Drive, Rawtenstall, Rossendale passed away in Cyprus on February 18, aged 83 years. Michael was previously the Mayor’s Attendant before his retirement in 2011. He also served in the Manchester Police Force for 10 years when he was younger. He was a member of the Rossendale Parkinson’s Group. Michael leaves behind his wife Barbara, children Joanne, Christine and Matthew, grandchildren Matthew, James, Saibh, Jamie and Joanna. A service will be held on Monday, March 6 at St Mary’s and All Saints Church, Goodshaw at 2pm, conducted by Rev Denise Smith.
