Mrs IreneTOWNERof Shepton Mallet, formerly of Street, much loved Mother of Chris and Andrew, Grandmother of Vicky, Becca, Lucy, Zoe and Kit and Great-Grandmother of Matty and Teddy, passed away at Yeovil District Hospital on the 27th February 2022 after a short illness. The funeral service will be held at Leigh Road Methodist Church, Street, on Wednesday 23rd March at 12:00 noon followed by burial at Street Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society and Bishop Creighton House, which may be left in the box after the service or online at www.ghollandfunerals.co.uk or forwarded to G. We are thankful to the Lord that our lives were blessed for so many years by having Irene Towner, affectionately called ( 'Mum')in our lives, for 73 years.

James and I have fond memories of Mrs Towner, we were fortunate to buy Lane End from her 39 years ago and are still here today and still eat at her dining room table and chairs. A lovely lady.
