Just wanted to say I will be raising a glass in Larry's name and a moment of reflection. He was a firm but fair teacher and I believe everyone that has been involved in my childhood has shaped who I am today.

My sincerest condolences to his family

Julie Widdecombe refers to legendary tales of Ski trips. I was fortunate to have had the company of Mr Tremain on a few of those trips. Somewhere in the Alps there is 'Tremain Corner' .... crazy days on the piste! A fantastic teacher ....may you rest in peace Sir xx

I became a student teacher back in 1995 and my first placement was at Hele's. Everyone knew who Larry was, I'm pretty sure there are some legendary tales of ski trips he was involved in. He was 1st to laugh and always had a great story to share. Students and staff all held equal respect for him. You really felt that he genuinely cared for others which made him a fantastic Head of Year.
He always spoke so fondly of his wife and children and it was evident he loved his family above all else.
The Widdecombe family are sending you all our deepest sympathies for one of life's great men.
