James DavidTUPLINIt is with great sadness we announce that Dave, aged 86 years,
passed away peacefully on Tuesday 14th July 2026 with his loving family by his side,
whilst in the care of the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital.
A beloved husband of the late Doreen and much loved father of Paul and Alan,
devoted father-in-law of Lisa, a dear brother of Joan and brother-in-law of Pete.
Dave was also a loving grandad and great-grandad to his 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Dave worked as a mechanical fitter for Courtaulds for nearly 50 years
and was a friend to many from both his working life and from Grimsby Golf Club.
Famously stubborn and always convinced he was right - the truly maddening thing was that he usually was,
a fact he put down to a lifetime of hard-won knowledge and was never shy of sharing.
A private cremation for Dave will take place in the near future.
Dave's wish would be for you to remember him fondly.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday 28th July 3.30pm at Grimsby Golf Club,
his home from home.
