JackTURNERR Jack Turner, of Rushbed Drive, Rawtenstall, died at home on Wednesday, March 23, aged 87. Jack worked locally in the shoe industry for many years. From the late 70s, he was a driving instructor in the Valley, and was owner of the Advanced School of Motoring. Jack was a Burnley FC supporter, and season ticket holder all his life. He played cricket in his youth, and enjoyed watching cricket on all levels. Jack enjoyed brass bands and classical music, and played drums in the Water Prize Band in his 20s. He leaves wife Ann Turner, daughters Alison and Judith and husbands Mark and Nigel, granddaughters Gemma and Hannah, and great-grandchildren Noah, Bella, and Isaac. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 12, at 11am at St James the Less RC Church, led by father D Lupton. Family flowers only; donations if desired to Rossendale Hospice.
