PhilipTWIGGERIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Philip (Phil) Twigger on the 8th September 2025, aged 82 years.

Phil passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of the late Gay. Much-loved father of Claire, Lucy and Sara, and a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather.

Phil was a devoted family man who gave much to his community and will be remembered for his warmth, kindness and strength of character.

A Requiem Mass will be held at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Rochdale on Monday 29th September 2025 at 10.00am, followed by interment at Rochdale Cemetery. All friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend.

Family flowers only please by request, donations if desired may be made in Phil's memory to the Alzheimer's Society, a donation box will be available on the day.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Phil’s passing. He was a dear friend whose quiet strength and kindness touched me. I fondly remember the time I spent with him and his late wife Gay in 1990—days filled with warmth and generosity that have stayed with me ever since. My heartfelt condolences go out to his daughters. May they find comfort in the love and memories that surround them.

Phil was a fantastic man, we spent many happy nights out enjoying a meal and or a few drinks followed by a few more.

It still fills our hearts with deep sadness and regret that our good friend Phil passed away. We shall always remember so many lovely moments with Phil and Gay no matter whether in England or in Germany.

We will miss him for ever.

Rest in Peace, Phil, and that you will be reunited with your lovely wife Gay on the other side, so as you believed and as we do either.
