VINCE HUSSELLWarrant Officer Class 2 Vince Hussell was one of two soldiers killed in a helicopter crash during a training exercise in Hampshire on 29 May, 2008.
WO Hussell was an instructor with the 2 (Training) Regiment Army Air Corps and had ammassed over 2,000 hours of flying since enlisting in 1989. He had served in Northern Ireland, Germany and Afghanistan. He was 36 and from Marton-le-Moor in North Yorkshire.
He and Lieutenant Mark Reynolds were killed when their aircraft went down during the final exercise of Lt Reybold's training course in Middle Wallop.
Lt Col Mike Cubbin, Commanding Officer 2 Regiment Army Air Corps, said: “We have sadly lost a great pilot. Vince was a quiet, private man who lived for his family, he was affectionately known as 'Happy Vince' to his colleagues in the Sergeants’ Mess. Recently promoted to Warrant Officer, he was a popular member of the team and we will miss him greatly. Our thoughts are with his friends and family."
His widow, Liz Hussell said: "This tragedy has come as a deep shock and devastating blow not only to us, his family, but to his wider family and friends. Vince was a loving husband and father devoted to his family."

Love you dad, never posted on here, I was 7 years old when you passed and now nearly 25! Crazy how much time has passed. I watched Liverpool win the league the other week and thought how happy you would’ve been! Love you

Forever and always

Following the remembrance service in Dishforth on Sunday, my boy; Ronan and I visited you. His first comment was, Toby's dad has the same first name as my middle name! We had the pleasure of spending some time with your boy Toby when he was dating my daughter; Olivia. They still remain friends. Toby is such a lovely boy and it is great to see snippets of news that show him developing a career he enjoys. We found this tribute page whilst researching the meaning of remembrance for Ronan's homework. Hope you don't mind us posting this Liz Xxx
