AlanWADEIt is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alan on October 1st 2025, aged 70 years, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, surrounded by his loving family who cared and supported him throughout his long and brave battle with Lymphoma. He showed huge positivity and immense courage during his treatment journey.

The devoted and much loved husband and soulmate of Gill, loving and caring dad of Gemma, Chris and Dan, wonderful father in law to Mark, Lynsey and Tori, proud and loving grandad and best friend to Isaac and gan gan to Alfred. A very special brother to Ann and a loving brother in law and uncle.
Alan enjoyed the company of his many friends, who he valued greatly and who will miss him dearly.

He was the heart of his precious family. He will be incredibly missed and never forgotten.

Funeral service at St Peter's Church, Caverswall on Tuesday 28th October at 11:30am, followed by interment at Buxton Road Cemetery, Leek. Would relatives and friends kindly meet at the Church.

Family flowers only please , donations preferred for Blood Cancer UK or towards supplying equipment to support patients, and their relatives, on Ward 201 at the Cancer Centre at the RSUH. A place and a team of staff that gave so much in the care of Alan.

Alan,
A new year starting without you. We had so many plans for this year when you would be recovering well. Sadly you were taken much earlier than you should have been so all hopes and dreams are now gone.
Rest well now and you will loved and remembered every day.
Missing you so very much.
Love Gill and all of your special family
xxxx

Words cannot say Alan how much you have been missed especially over Christmas. Our first one without you. We all tried to stay strong and remember such happy family Christmas times before you left us all. Our hearts were filled with sadness.. Missed your love, jokes, your fun personality when you played games and the special piece of jewellery you always bought for me for Christmas morning. You loved our family Christmas lunch and red wine. You have left too soon and unexpectedly and life will never be the same without your love and kindness, You were willing to help anyone at any time especially our precious family. We know you fought hard to stay with us and did not want to leave us. life is so cruel as we needed you here for much longer.

We will all love you forever. I am broken without you,

Gill and all your precious loving family xxxxxxx
