Dave has been a friend for over 35 years, when I joined the TA on ny 17th birthday. Dave took me under his wing and took me out to pass my HGV. Practice involved taking his pigeons to their starting points, collecting ones who had got lost and trips to Lincs coast for fish n chips. Dave always had lots to say, was funny and even when shouting at me made me laugh. I will remember Dave as being a key mentor in my life and I will always remember him very fondly and with a smile. It was a privilege to know you Dave. Always putting us to shame with your rack of medals and better war stories! You will be sadly missed, but leave behind an incredible legacy. Rest in peace.
