Douglas SamuelWARING15th April 1928 - 3rd February 2023 Doug passed away peacefully on the 3rd of February, with his family around him. He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Heather and Lorraine, son in law Adrian, his two grandchildren Melody and Mark and his Great Grandson, Luca. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, who passed away one month previously. Doug and Joan moved to Woodhall Spa upon Doug's retirement 35 years ago, in 1987. During their time in Woodhall Spa, Doug was a parish councillor for 13 years, volunteered for Help the Aged, helped to run Jubilee Park bowling club, Chairman of the Probus luncheon club, and ran the local table tennis club, to name a few. As well as being active in the community, Doug was very happy to have his family close by, and doted on his two grandchildren. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humour, his willingness to give anyone a helping hand, and his community spirit. He will be greatly missed by both family and friends. Doug's cremation will be held at Boston Crematorium on the 10th March at 12:30pm, followed by a wake at The Dower House from 1:30pm.
