I want to remember my Uncle John, a remarkable man. Some of my best memories of him revolve around Polbrean Hotel. I can still see the Great Danes, each one with a name starting with Z.
He took me under his wing at Mullion Cricket Club, where I remember him hitting the ball a country mile. It must have been his massive hands and forearms that helped. After I finished my apprenticeship, he even gave me a job as a builder, showing his faith in me and his kindness.
Uncle John was always engaging and kind, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him, including my kids. He was one of the few people who called me Nicky, which always made me smile.
Rest well, Uncle John. Say hi to Aunty Frances. You will always be in my heart, and I will never forget your kindness and warmth.

Uncle John, although we didn’t spend much time together, when we did you always took an interest in how things were going in my life and we had a laugh. You always asked about my children and my husband and his business. Your thoughtful nature will be remembered. Love Sophie Cipriano & Family xxx

I have known John my Brother-in-Law for just over 60yrs. He taught me how to ‘fly’ fish, we spent many days fishing around the Country. We certainly had plenty of escapades, they might have been due to the fact we were not supposed to be fishing in some of the places we visited.
He certainly had a very dry wit and sense of humour, he was also very loyal to his friends and a Gentleman.
John always had time for our three children, and wanted to know where they were and what they were doing.
Sadly we will not be there today to see you laid to rest. But, we will be thinking of you though. With love from Peter & Family xx
